Back in 2011, Madhumita stepped into the world of television. At the time, Madhumita was only 17 years old. It all began with her starring role in Sobhnoy Nivedan, where she played Naina, a Marwadi girl. From there onwards, Madhumita got television roles in various television series.
In 2012, Madhu went on to star in Care Koi Na. Again, she landed a starring role of Jahnnabi Mukherjee or popularly known as Juni among fans. With the series ending in 2013, Madhu again got the chance to participate in the Bengali hit series Bojhena Se Bojhena, where she played double roles of Pakhi Ghosh Dastidar Singha Roy and Khushi. The series ran from 2013 to 2016 and was acclaimed by fans and critics alike.
In 2017, she made her film debut by appearing in Paribartan as Sakshi. Madhu has contributed her talent to the Mahalaya program on the Bengali channel from 2015 to 2020.
